Stupid heatwave!

OK…I should have known better. This stupid heatwave in SoCal caused my cable modem to overheat and not work. FOR THE PAST 5 DAYS. Ok..I’ll admit it. I’m a geek and I like to go read endless streams of techinfo. I also like to keep in touch with people in 4 DIFFERENT CONTINENTS with IM. I run a TECHNOLOGY BASED BUSINESS and need the internet to read emails (ok..my phones gets all my emails instantly), to quote clients and to do reasearch.

How the fuck did I not figure out earlier that a burning hot cable modem won’t work? Sure…I thought “its been working fine, for 7 months inside that cabinet, with no airflow”….yeah…but not in fucking 115 degree weather. Ok…so its been confirmed…I’m a dumbass (once again).

Being an entrepreneur

Well…to start off…it may be bold to consider myself an entrepreneur…but I have started my own business . About 4 months ago I quit my job, and plunged head first into opening a shop, with Matt, my business partner. And by shop, I mean a legal entity. And by legal entity, I mean an office, a place where clients call and get help. A place where potentials clients call to get info. A place where I’ve spent many “all-nighters”.

On a side note, I’m starting to like downtown LA a lot. I used to hate the place… crowded, congested and vertical. Downtown LA grows on you. At first it seams intimidating, but then you discover it to be friendly, safe and, lets say, magical.

Firing your boss, as I like to call it, is awsome. The liberty of doing whatever you want whenever you want is just fantastic. Knowing that you are working for yourself, for a better future, and not just for a paycheck, helps me (or us) strive everyday to adhere to our initial business plan outline, to be the best of the best, to keep growing, and to offer our services to a wider population.
